Football Derby Matches: The Traditional Rivals Heads On Once Again

In Derby matches, it is very important for the two teams to struggle and win, not only for the mere sake of increasing their points, but they also have to maintain a reputation and have to preserve the name of their respective club. This is what makes football derby matches very interesting as well as popular for the people of the particular city. All these things make football derby matches all the more interesting, especially when the major football rivals indulge in a head on competition with each other.

The Inter Milan vs. AC Milan match was a very enjoyable one, and an interesting match of the season - and Inter came up really well, with a great performance against AC. This makes Inter a worthy and difficult competition for the other teams in the upcoming matches. Inter moves to the top of Series A and not only that but also ahead of AC by eleven points. The most intense football derby competition has always been between the Scottish teams Celtic and Rangers. Celtic gained a win over the old rival Rangers and the Rangers were pretty much rattled by Celtic. Now the Celtics are at the first position in the Scottish Premier League with sixty-four points, followed by the Rangers at sixty-one points. In Newcastle vs. Sunderland, the latter was the only one that had scored a victory this year. The competition between the two was very tough considering the fact that they are, indeed, long time rivals.
